Everyone is busy. But considering what is at stake, making time for exercise needs to be a priority right now. Thirty minutes a day is not too much when you get right down to it. Cut one prime-time show out of your evening television-viewing schedule. Get up a half-hour earlier each morning. Use half of your lunch hour for a brisk walk. You can find time if you look hard enough for it.
In fact, there are people who find time to manage and endorse the advantages of physical fitness just so they can prove to the world what a physically fit person can look like.
It is for this reason that most people contend that fitness models are one of the healthiest and most appealing people in the world. They embody the perfect concept of a physically fit person. Fitness models are, indeed, the epitome of health, life, vigor, and real beauty.
In reality, virtually everyone who has the capability to move can exercise to some degree; and everyone who is capable of projecting the benefits of exercise and physical fitness can be a fitness model.
Therefore, if you think that you have what it takes to be a fitness model, here are some tips on how to be come one.
1. Deviate from the common notion of everybody that fitness is just a matter of the body figure.
The problem with the society today is that people tend to admire and look up to females who are thin and sexy and to males have brawny, muscular biceps, triceps, and wonderful abs.
The upshot is that people tend to exert so much effort in exercise not because they want to be healthy and fit but because they want to like the fitness models that they usually see in TV, posters, and magazines.
To be a fitness model, you should start working your way to a healthier you and not just a sexier, physically attractive person that you want to be.
After all, being a fitness model does not necessarily mean you have to have a “fashion-model” body size.
2. Believe in the saying, “You are what you eat.”
If you want to be a fitness model, you have to believe on the fact that our body shows what kinds of food we eat. Your body will also depict the kind of physical activities that you have in life.
Hence, if you do not conform to this belief, chances are, you will find it hard to be a fitness model, and to inform the people what it is like to be physically fit.
3. Live a healthy lifestyle
Genes play big roles in a person’s health. But these do not certainly influence what you will eat at breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and the kind of activity that you will engage in.
Hence, if your lifestyle will not be healthy, chances are, you can never be a fitness model.
4. Have a “positive self image”
In order to be a fitness model, you have to incorporate positive body image in your life. This means that you should love your body in spite of what is happening in the environment or the occurrences in your life.
You should never wish for a body that you know it is not yours. Do not burden yourself into thinking that life could have been better if you only have thinner thighs or beautiful abs.
Through positive self-image, you are able to gain respect for yourself, which in turn generates other s to respect you and admire you.
The key point here is that, being a fitness model is not all about vanity and physical attributes alone. What matters most is the beauty of being physically fit and healthy that radiates from your body as it exudes the glow of health.

I believe the spirit of man, rather than being something ethereal we possess, is the life force within us. From a scientific standpoint, it is the force that actuates our mind and body and all the billions of cells to interact in a symphonic harmony we call life.
Like the fire burning on a match, as long as there is fuel and oxygen there is life. So to with us, as long as there is spirit sustained by breathing, we keep living. As a match running out of fuel into the mere glow of the final flicker of a flame, so too, the spirit or life force comes to an end.
But that is merely the end of the force that actuates the whole of the biological organism that we call alive. There are never flat lines as TV would have us believe. There is always a transient beat of the heart, twitch of a muscle, rarely a patient might sit up. What ever may come to be, the life force that made the patient a person is no more. It comes to an end.
Life doesn’t completely come to an end however. The heart continues to live although absent of spirit, if for only a few hours. Placed in someone with a strong spirit but defective parts, it is assimilated to become part of the collective of an entirely different spirit. The liver has life for several hours.
The cornea of our eyes continues ready for life, in another host for 1 week. That is unless you live in a third world country where they are considered viable for 2 weeks.
This miraculous thing we call life, within the cells of that organ to be transplanted, become part of the life we call our father, mother, sister, brother, daughter or son. My belief is based on the life I have seen and observed as a scientist.
Life can and does at times extinguish itself like a match that prematurely goes out.
Some diseases for no apparent reason cause the body to self destruct. Here in can be seen a beautiful and yet powerful attribute of our spirit or life force has. Patients with the best chances fail and those with the worse prognosis survive. Anecdotal reports of the elderly in agrarian Russia showed death rates declined prior to and increased after harvest. This life force is indeed powerful...that is if we choose to use it. As a nurse this I have seen first hand with my patients and I believe.
One evening a patient on another floor from where I was working requested that I see her. Like the many before, she thanked me for my care on her previous hospital stay. Unlike the others, she was also saying good bye. She indicated she was going to be leaving.
A physical assessment was started along with the assurance she wasn’t dieing. However to my horror she was. She had an awareness that her life force was slowly starting to become that flicker and was soon going out. She was dying right there in front of my eyes, in my hands. She knew it. Now I did too.
A call for assistance resulted in the night shift nurses going to work to keep that flame of life burning. They cared for her physiological needs. I cared for her spiritual need. Not religiously, rather a scientific psychological empowerment of that force. Asking if there was any job yet to be done, anything to live for, she faintly uttered, “Yes! I want to see my Granddaughter graduate from high school.”
Encouraging her to tap into that force that actuates the mind and body, I suggested she think and see herself in the audience watching that ceremony. “See yourself living, see your self there,” was the fuel to keep that flame from becoming a flicker and going out.
With death threatening, emergency surgery sealed her fate.
Commendation for observing the unusual life threatening condition and saving her life came from the surgeon the next day. Later, the daughter, a bed side witness, came up hugging me, crying, and thanking me for saving her mom’s life.
Yet who really was it that saved her. The nurses who, with the precision of a pro-sports team went into action? The skilled surgical staff? Should Mrs. Sereno, My Orthopedic Instructor in nursing school who told us, if we forgot everything else that she taught, remember this one unusual, rare, and sometimes difficult to recognize syndrome.
And what about the patient, or rather her spirit. Should not some credit go to that life force that was her.
Her life force, her spirit, kept the flame burning long enough for her physical needs to be met by the health care team. Clinically speaking, she was in a condition that was not compatible with life. That this is possible, in spite of scientific data that suggests otherwise, tells me that there is a power beyond what humans can study or measure.
Was this anything more than the life force or spirit helping to continue in possession of one of its most precious possessions, its ability to be? What things any of us can accomplish, be they great or small, if even maintaining our own existence, is because of this remarkable power.
This power or force that actuates our mind and body, I believe to be the spirit of man. It makes all of us whoever or what ever we are. If we chose to, it is ours to control until we give it up or are too tired to hold on any longer.
Whether helping cheat death a little longer or being there for the few who became the flicker and then no more, I believe the spirit of man is only the life force within us. Yet what a truly marvelous, incredibly powerful, beautiful force it is.
May all of us use that force to create, build and benefit our fellow man.

If you are reading this you are a learner, and you want to get better.
How do I know that?
It’s easy. Most people don’t take the time to find material like this. Most people show, through their actions that they are complacent – happy with their skills and results. Sadly, most people don’t read.
So congratulations! You meet a criterion important for unleashing your potential, because you search for ideas, approaches, techniques, tips and tools.
Now that I have congratulated you, let me tell you a secret.
It isn’t enough.
There is a big difference between knowing of a tool, owning it and using it.
Owning a hammer doesn’t get the nail through the board.
Knowing how to drive the nail straight doesn’t get that new picture hung.
There is a big difference between seeing how an idea will work, being inspired to make it work, and doing it.
The difference, of course, is action.
If we want to make progress, if we want to get better, if we want to unleash our enormous potential, we must take action.
I know that there can be a lot in our way – pressing business matters, an already overflowing plate of work, issues and challenges away from work. I’m sure you are like me – you have ideas from the last workshop you attended, five notes from the article you read last week and two ideas spawned from the book you finished last month. And they just sit there.
At some point they move from being a motivating thing, to a negative one – ideas sitting there, growing stale, weighing on our mind because we aren’t getting them done.
Guess what?
You can’t take action on all of those ideas today or tomorrow.
But most of us stop there, somewhat stymied by the list, immobilized by not knowing where to start.
If you want to change that, read on.
What’s Next?
Don’t read the rest of this unless you are ready to invest five minutes after you finish reading it. If you don’t invest that time, this article and the ideas it spawns will just add to the list.
Seriously.
Commit to yourself that you will spend five minutes taking action on the advice provided below before you do anything else.
Five Things in the Next Five Minutes
1. Tell yourself you can’t do everything you want. You can’t. But don’t let this fact stop you. Because while you can’t do everything, you can do anything. You must choose.
2. Make a quick list. List the ideas, tools, techniques or approaches that you have been thinking about wanting to do something with. Maybe it is an idea you recently read, maybe it is a workshop you want to attend, or a project you want to try - whatever those things are, write them down on a quick list. It doesn’t have to be pretty or complete, just get your ideas down. Now.
3. Pick one. One thing on the list will stand out to you. One will be calling your name. One will be exceptionally motivating. Pick it.
4. Determine a first action. Decide what the first thing is that you need to do to put this idea, approach or tool into action. This first step isn’t huge. It should be something you can do today, regardless of how busy your schedule is. If the step seems too big, break it down some more.
5. Do it. Today. (Now is even better).
After you have done these five things (you have now, right?) there are two more things to do, and these two can be done in a flash – far less than the five minutes you just invested.
6. Decide a next action.
7. Commit to completing the next action.
These seven steps will change your life if you DO them. That is the point of this article after all. In the end, it isn’t about knowledge, ideas or inspiration. It is about action.
